A classy swinger's joint? Look no further than Moon City.

Its hammam atmosphere will have you going naughty in The City of Lights. So brace yourself: Are you ready for an exotic change of scenery?  Step into this "palace of the senses" with a unique decor inspired by the palaces of the mythical India of the maharajas. If you're looking to spice up your sex life a little or just want to relax naked in a giant bubbling jacuzzi, detoxify in a steamy hammam, or sweat in a sauna, take a voyage into the exotic right here.

First you'll need to ring the bell so someone will come greet you at the outside window and let you in.  At the cashier window in the entry, you'll be given a generously sized pareo, a towel, a beverage ticket, and your locker key, which is attached to a band that can be worn on your arm or leg and has a small pocket with three condoms inside.  From there you'll head upstairs to the dressing area to change into your pareo and leave your belongings in your locker, and then you're ready to explore.

Back downstairs, first you'll encounter the bar and lounge area where you can have a drink, chat and relax or partake of the free buffet that's offered nightly from 9 to 11 p.m.  Your entry fee includes one drink, but if you'd like more you can opt for coffee or tea for 3.50 euros or from 5 to 13 euros choose from a variety of soft drinks, cocktails (with alcohol or alcohol-free), liquors, and wines by the glass or carafe.  Some liquors and champagnes are available by the bottle as well as wines by the half-bottle.  You can order salads, croque monsieur, smoked salmon and blinis, magret de canard, and foie gras at any time; those will run you anywhere from 10 to 18 euros.

Past the bar is another lounge area with a large television, and continuing onward you arrive at the jacuzzi room.  This is not a mere hot tub or small whirlpool but 25 square meters of what is almost a small lagoon, though rather than being surrounded by plants it's flanked by statues and a rock-like decor.  Hygiene being de rigueur, you first have to cross through a shallow footbath in the hallway and rinse off in the showers next to the jacuzzi before actually getting into the bubbling water.  

Upstairs you'll find a warm and densely steamy hammam, another shower area, and a sauna.  Also upstairs is the "village de détente," a number of small rooms mostly sized for two people but a couple of which are large enough to accommodate more.  You can choose to either close yourself away in privacy with your companion or leave doors and shutters open and be viewed by others.  

In general you'll wear your pareo in the hallways and lounge areas and go nude in the sauna, hammam, and jacuzzi.

Most people go barefoot but you might consider bringing a clean pair of flip-flops if you prefer.   Lighting is subdued and the ambiance relaxed.  This is a place where newcomers and regulars alike can feel at ease, where in the libertine spirit everything is allowed and nothing is obligatory (well, almost everything is allowed except sex in the jacuzzi, which is forbidden according to a sign posted next to it).  The clientele is generally respectful, and if someone extends an invitation to you and you're not interested, a simple "non merci" should be sufficient; if not, don't hesitate to be firm about it.  The staff is very friendly and welcoming and ready to answer any questions you might have.

Open daily from noon to 4 a.m.  Mondays and Wednesdays are for couples only.  Admission is 12 euros for women, 78 euros for men, and 48 euros for couples.  Check the web site for specific hours and prices.
